Key West sits at the southern tip of the Florida Keys, surrounded by some of the most celebrated coral reef systems in the world. Our reefs are abundant in corals, sponges,and marine life, in crystal-clear waters.  The memories of diving the Florida Keys stay with you long after you've rinsed off at the dock. Captain Hook's Dive Key West has been running divers through these waters for years, and we know every ledge, current line, and resident sea life worth finding.

Two Dive Spots, One Great Day.

Every reef trip visits two different dive locations, with roughly one hour at each spot to explore at your own pace. Our captains select the sites each trip based on real-time conditions, ensuring you're always diving the best water available. Occasionally conditions keep us at one location on the reef, however, our team works diligently to maximize your experience.

A Divemaster in the Water — Complimentary

Every Captain Hook's reef trip includes a certified divemaster who enters the water with you at no additional charge. They know these reefs intimately and point out the resident Goliath Grouper, sea turtles, eagle rays cruising the ledges, and the moray eels tucked under their favorite coral heads. They'll point out what you'd otherwise swim right past. If you prefer to explore independently with your dive buddy, that's completely fine.

We Handle the Gear. You Handle the Diving.

Upon check-in we'll fit you in rental gear, load it on the boat, and help you set it up.  If you bring your own equipment, we'll take care of that too. Show up and let our team do the rest.

Bringing a Mixed Group?

If some of your group dives and others prefer to stay at the surface, we have you covered on the same boat. No splitting up, no separate trips. Divers explore the reef below while snorkelers enjoy the same stunning sealife from above, keeping families and friends together from start to finish.

After the Dive — The Perry Hotel

There's no better way to end a dive day than a swim in a beautiful pool. As a Captain Hook's guest, you're welcome to enjoy the pool at The Perry Hotel following your trip. It's the perfect way to decompress, relax, and replay the highlights of your dives before heading back out to enjoy everything Key West has to offer.

No Gear? No Problem.

Complete rental gear packages are available as add-ons to your booking, rent exactly what you need. For divers who want exclusive, dedicated attention underwater, a Private Divemaster upgrade is also available, as well as a Private Instructor option for those looking for a more guided learning experience. All options can be selected during the booking process.

What's Included

• Two tank dives at two reef locations
• Mask, fins, tanks, weights, and or weight belt included.
• Complimentary certified divemaster in the water

Schedule & Check-In

• Check-in is required promptly at 8:00 AM for morning trips and 12:00 PM for afternoon trips.

  Please allow enough time for parking, check-in, waivers, and boarding. Our vessel departs as soon as all guests are aboard, and the safety briefing is complete. Because other guests are depending on a timely departure, late arrivals may miss the trip and are NOT eligible for a refund.

Requirements

• Open Water certification or higher. Cert card required.
• If it's been more than 1 year since your last dive, your first dive will be alongside our divemaster at no extra charge, just a smart precaution
• If it's been more than 2 years, a brief Scuba Refresher is required and available at our dive center.

Stop into Captain Hook's Dive Key West before your trip. Our team can walk you through current reef conditions, get you fitted for any gear you need, and make sure everything is ready before you head to the boat. We love meeting our divers before we hit the water together.

A Note on Conditions

Ocean activities depend on Mother Nature. If a trip is cancelled due to weather, visibility, or sea conditions, you'll have the choice to reschedule, receive a full refund, or apply your payment as store credit. Trips require a minimum of 5 divers. If that minimum isn't met, the same options apply. We'll always notify you as early as possible.

Spots fill fast, especially in season, so book in advance to guarantee your place on the boat.
