Captain Hook's Key West Sandbar Trip takes you there. This is five hours of pure Florida Keys living — wading in crystal-clear shallows, snorkeling over the sandy bottom, swimming in the open ocean, and soaking up the sun from the comfort of a floating Lilly pad while the world slows down around you.

The Sandbar Experience

We cruise out to a destination selected for the best conditions of the day — a shallow, sheltered spot where the water is calm, clear, and perfect for getting in and staying in. Depending on the tides, you may find yourself walking a stretch of exposed sandy island with nothing but open sky and turquoise water in every direction — one of those only-in-the-Florida-Keys moments that's hard to describe until you've lived it. Snorkel over the sandy shallows, wade with the kids, swim, float, and let the afternoon take care of itself.

Bring Your Own Beer and Wine

Captain Hook's does not hold a liquor license, which means we can't sell alcohol on board — but you are absolutely welcome to bring your own beer, wine, and favorite beverages. Storage coolers are available on the boat to keep everything cold. Please note: no glass containers or bottles. We'll have snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase on board.

Schedule & Check-In

• Departure: Noon daily
• Duration: Approximately 5 hours
• Check-in: Please arrive at The Perry Hotel, 7001 Shrimp Rd, Key West, FL 33040 at the Captain Hook's boat
• Detailed check-in instructions including Google Maps link and parking information will be included in your confirmation email
• Minimum 6 passengers required

• Must be able to swim
• No experience necessary — easy and relaxing for all ages

A Note on Conditions

Ocean activities depend on Mother Nature. If a trip is cancelled due to weather, visibility, or sea conditions, you'll have the choice to reschedule, receive a full refund, or apply your payment as store credit. If the 6-passenger minimum isn't met, the same options apply. We'll always notify you as early as possible. For last-minute bookings within two days of departure with fewer than 6 passengers, please call us at 305-296-3823 between 8 AM and 5 PM and we'll do our best to make it work.
