Individual Camera Requirement: Participants are required to bring their own underwater camera equipment to fully engage in the course. Whether it's a compact point-and-shoot or a sophisticated DSLR housed in a waterproof casing, students learn to leverage their specific gear for optimal results.

Two Dives: The course includes two immersive dives, providing students with ample opportunities to apply newfound techniques in real-world underwater environments. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants practice composition, lighting, and other essential skills while capturing the mesmerizing marine landscape.

Mandatory Classroom Session: Prior to diving, students attend a mandatory classroom session where they delve into the fundamentals of underwater photography. From understanding camera settings to mastering composition principles, this session equips participants with the knowledge necessary to excel in their photographic endeavors.

Captain Hook's Wreck Diving Requirements for the This Course. In addition to mastering photography skills, participants must meet all prerequisites for diving at Captain Hook's wreck site. This includes demonstrating proficiency in buoyancy control, navigation, and safety procedures specific to this renowned wreck dive location. Such requirements ensure that participants are well-prepared for the unique challenges of photographing wreck sites like Captain Hook's.

• Open Water Diver certification or Advanced Open Water Diver if the subject matter is a wreck.
• If the wrecks are the subject matter of the photography, additional requirements may be needed to qualify to make the dive.

• It is always a good idea to stop in to see us @ Capt. Hook's Marina & Dive Center located @ 11833 Overseas Highway at Vaca Cut Oceanside when you arrive in Marathon.  We love to see our adventurers before the event so we can get to know you, make friends and provide you with any detailed information about your activity.
• As with any activity that requires Mother Nature to cooperate, this activity may be cancelled due to wind, weather, visibility and sea conditions in which case you will be allowed to reschedule (subject to availability), receive full refund, store credit or receive credit for a future event/dive trip.
• Guests cannot participate if under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or have any existing medical conditions that put them or others at risk.

• Upon booking, you will receive your receipt in a email confirmation.  We recommend booking in advance to ensure your space on the boat.
