The Diving
The Maldives is a dream destination for marine life enthusiasts, and diving from the Maldives Aggressor II puts you right in the heart of it all. Divers can expect thrilling encounters with graceful manta rays, gentle whale sharks, curious reef sharks, and massive schools of vibrant fusiliers and snappers. Keep an eye out for sea turtles cruising by and moray eels peeking from coral crevices. The reefs are alive with colorful nudibranchs, octopus, and the occasional leaf scorpionfish hiding in plain sight.
The Maldives Islands lie Southwest of India. Scattered across the equator in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the gem-like islands of the Maldives depict the rare vision of a tropical paradise. Palm-fringed islands with sparkling white beaches, turquoise lagoons, clear warm waters and coral reefs teeming with abundant varieties of marine flora and fauna, fascinate visitors as it has for thousands of years. The Maldives is a tropical destination for liveaboard scuba diving with a year-round sea breeze.
There are three distinctly different types of scuba diving at the Maldives: inside the atolls, outside the atolls and inside the channels or passes, which is where the currents are strongest and you'll find the greatest congregation of fish life. Most intriguing are the cleaning stations, found around every corner and under every ledge. Groupers, Snappers, Surgeonfish, Eels, Parrotfish, even Giant Napoleon Wrasse park casually in corners, oblivious to all, (including cameras) while armies of wrasse, shrimp, and other assorted cleaners pick at debris in their open gills and cavernous mouths. With every dive, you’ll explore thilas, channels, and pinnacles teeming with life—and no two dives are ever the same. It’s a living aquarium that delivers unforgettable moments on every descent.
