This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) and Capt. Hook's MTAC. The WMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

MTAC has designed 3 levels of training specific to the water environment.

Level 1 is designed to take a person that can swim (or a diver that needs refreshed) and certify you as an Open Water SCUBA Diver, we also add in 16 hours of Dive Medicine Didactic. The WMS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Each physician should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Level 2 course adds to the Level 1 and offers a Diver Stress and Water Rescue certification.
