Vandiversary Celebration Dive Trip

Let's Dive!!  Join Captain Hook’s Dive Key West  and our experienced dive team for this celebration dive commemorating the 15 years this great wreck has been sent to the ocean floor.

VANDENBERG WRECK – 95 TO 100 ft. depth to the deck.  This world class wreck is over 520 ft. in length.  It is the largest most accessible artificial reef in the world and sits in 145 ft. of water.  This World War II troop transport also served as a missile tracker during the cold war.  Her signature giant radar dishes were used to track the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules.  Our guided dive on the deck will lead you in exploration of its unique super structure, radar dishes, bridge, com-rooms and crown nest on an air profile.  

This dive trip includes a complimentary divemaster. Experienced with the wreck and familiar with local marine life, they can highlight the best sights on the wreck. It's ideal for those who haven't been on the Vandenberg recently, the divemaster also enhances your comfort and safety.

Requirements

• Advanced Open Water Diver. If you are not an Advanced Open Water Diver, Capt. Hook's is offering Advanced training at a discount for you to join us in this celebration! Click here to learn more.
• Proof of Advanced certification (Certification Card)
  
• Must have completed a deep dive (60 feet or more) with the past 12 months. This is a requirement specific to diving the Vandenberg. If you do not have a deep dive within the past 12 months and you are an Advanced Open Water Diver, we recommend diving the Cayman Salvager Wreck with our dive guide after which you will be eligible to dive the Vandenberg.

Schedule 

• Departure times: 10:00AM
• Duration:  4 hours (approx.)
• Check-in time: Please check in 60 minutes before the departure time. (Important!)
• Check-in and departure location:  Check in and depart right from Capt. Hook's Dive Key West located @ 3128 N. Roosevelt Blvd., Key West, FL.  Just come in and check in with our staff and they will get you the equipment you need and onboard your dive boat.

• If you use your own equipment, we will store it and make sure it is onboard waiting for you when you arrive.

• It is always a good idea to stop in to see us @ Capt. Hook's Dive Key West 3128 N. Roosevelt Blvd., Key West, FL.  We love to see our adventurers before the event so we can get to know you, make friends and provide you with any detailed information about your activity.
• We have a full service dive center with rental gear that can accommodate any size.
  
• As with any activity that requires Mother Nature to cooperate, this activity may be cancelled due to wind, weather, visibility and sea conditions in which case you will be allowed to reschedule (subject to availability), receive full refund, store credit or receive credit for a future event/dive trip.
• This activity needs a minimum of at least 10 divers. If the minimum is not met, the activity may be cancelled, in which case you will be allowed to reschedule (subject to availability), receive full refund, store credit or receive credit for a future event/dive trip.
• Guests cannot participate if under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or have any existing medical conditions that put them or others at risk.
