Marathon Snorkel Trip – Explore the Hidden Gems of the Florida Keys

Join Captain Hook’s Dive Team for an unforgettable snorkeling adventure in the “Best Kept Secret in the Florida Keys.” Dive into the crystal-clear waters of Marathon to discover vibrant marine life at stunning shallow patch reefs. Whether you’re a seasoned snorkeler or new to the experience, our trips cater to all levels, offering ample opportunities to explore the underwater world from the surface or take a closer look by diving down.

We take you to two different reef locations per trip, giving you one hour at each site to explore. The specific locations are chosen based on daily weather, wind, and visibility conditions, ensuring optimal snorkeling experiences. Our vessels are designed for both diving and snorkeling, so mixed groups of divers and snorkelers can enjoy the adventure together. With two well-equipped boats, we can accommodate family groups, divers, and snorkelers alike!

Must be able to swim and float with an inflatable snorkel vest.

Schedule:

Departure Times: 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM
Check-in: Please check in 60 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Check-in Location: Captain Hook's Marina & Dive Center, 11833 Overseas Highway, Marathon, FL 33050

What's Included:

Complimentary gear: Mask, fins, snorkel, and snorkel vest are all provided—no need to bring equipment!

Additional Information:

Bring your own gear or rent: Masks, fins, and snorkels are available for rent if needed, or feel free to bring your own equipment.
Gratuities appreciated: Tips for our dive crew are optional but always appreciated.

Important Notes:

Come say hello! We always love meeting our guests before the trip. Stop by Captain Hook's Marina & Dive Center, located at 11833 Overseas Highway, Vaca Cut Oceanside, when you arrive in Marathon. This way, we can answer any questions, share local tips, and ensure you’re ready for your adventure.
Weather-dependent activity: Mother Nature sometimes has other plans. In case of wind, weather, visibility, or sea conditions that are unfavorable, we may cancel the trip. Should this happen, you can reschedule, receive a full refund, store credit, or use the credit for a future trip.
Group minimum: A minimum of 6 snorkelers or a mix of 3 snorkelers and 3 divers is required to run the trip. If the minimum is not met, you’ll have the option to reschedule, get a full refund, or receive store credit.
Health & safety: For your safety, guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or those with medical conditions that could endanger themselves or others, cannot participate.
